CUT CORRUPTION IN CANADA'S HEALTH CARE SYSTEM

 *****************************************
April 1, 2010

There is a straightforward way to cut health care costs without reducing services - cut the corruption.

Make it illegal for the pharmaceutical industry to bribe the purchasers of their products with lavish gifts, trips, parties and other perks, and health care costs will plummet.

Millions are spent on marketing pharmaceuticals by bribing doctors and CEO's of  retailers, millions that should be spent on research and development of life-saving medicine.

It is all about corruption and that corruption extends far and deep into the marketing and advertising industries and beyond.

The Charest government intends to tax the public for health care services. As always, it is the common folks who must pay for the gluttony of the rich and well-connected.

Who has the courage and integrity to pass legislation to protect the health and lives of Canadians? Anyone ? Does anyone in Canadian politics have clean hands in this business ?
