BULLIES HOLD POWER OVER YOU WHEN YOU ARE VULNERABLE

Cheryl, We don't have to re-post someone else's posts. Real people can speak out on their own - and everyone - young or old - should.

It is not only children who are bullies and are bullied. We meet bullies all the time - adult bullies. I have been fighting bullies since I was in elementary school.

Bullies are to be found where absolute power is given to people who have no heart or conscience. I have reported bullies who are doctors, nurses, ambulance techs, town councillors, moving companies, landlords, employers, and police. Teachers can be bullies. Anyone who has unquestioned power over you can be a bully. They take their power from their uniforms, their white coats, their office and - all too often - from their unions. The group gives them the power.

The group covers for the bad apples. They have your body, your belongings, your home, your apartment, your job, your freedom, your independence, in their hands, in their control. And, usually, when the bullies do their dirty work, no one will speak up to help you.

My blogs are full of detailed examples of bullies who get away with everything short of murder. I have been battling for justice for victims of bullies all my life. How I wish more people would speak up. Silence implies consent and those who witness bullying and do not speak up are cowards and accomplices.

It isn't necessary to put yourself at risk to do what is right. If you would be in danger for speaking up, walk away and call someone right away and tell them what is happening, and keep telling and telling and telling.
