MOLOTOV COCKTAILS IN MONTREAL - GANGS? PROTECTION RACKET? RACISM?

There is never a dull moment for criminals in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. There is enough corruption, hate and greed around to keep Montrealers on edge all the time.

Police arson squad investigators are looking into the fire-bombing of a popular Indian restaurant on Jean-Talon street west in the Parc-Extension neighbourhood.

Investigators say a molotov cocktail was thrown through the window of the Bombay Mahal restaurant around 12:45 a.m. Saturday morning.

The device ignited a small fire inside and caused minor damage to the restaurant, which is located at the corner of Jean-Talon West and Birnam Streets.

Police have no suspects.

Arson investigators are also investigating a second incident involving a molotov cocktail thrown into a house under construction on Collins Road in Côte-Saint-Luc.

There are no known links between the two incidents.
